Jiral invasion

The Jiral invasion was a quick battle and the beginning of a war between the Humans and the Jiral. In the year 2212, Earth was attacked by an alien race from an unknown region of space. They claimed to be the Earth's original inhabitants. The invaders were discovered to be a race called the Jiral. In the initial invasion, they killed 2 million Humans but were able to be run off by a large fleet of Citadel Alliance ships. The Jiral didnt stay away however as they returned with an even larger invasion fleet. For 4 hours, Earth fell under Jiral control. This didnt last long because a fleet of Human shipps, led by the SSV Normandy, managed to expel the Jiral from the planet. After this event, the Jiral Wars began.
