Ethan Shepard is the third son of John Shepard and Ashley Williams. Like his siblings, he grew up in a life of great privilege and affluence because of his relationship to his famous father.
Background[]
Early life[]
Born on the Citadel three years after David and six from Kaidan, Ethan is the third child of retired Admiral John Shepard and his wife Captain Ashley Williams.
On one snowy morning, Ethan and his siblings rushed to greet their mother who came home for shore leave, excitedly asking her to play with them.

Several years later, when classes at school were dismissed for the holiday, Ethan and his brothers Kaidan and David were seen taking a shuttle ride home with their friends from the Tayseri Ward. On the way home, Ethan kept tying to tell jokes to cheer up his upset brother David when he received a detention notice again.
Soon, he and his siblings are warmly greeted by their maternal grandmother. When the household receives a holo-vid from their mother, they were ecstatic to learn she was coming home for shore leave.

Ethan has a strong sense of humor as he can make most people laugh, a trait he assumingly learned from Joker. He is a very eccentric child, as his methods in comedic entertainment appear to be very uncommon. However, Ethan can also be very immature, just like David, as he is seen constantly gloating to people about his family name.
Although Ethan loves his mother and is overjoyed when they spend time together, their relationship has been strained ever since Ashley assumed more responsibility in the Alliance military. As such, Ethan detests the idea of carrying on the Williams family tradition as it only took his mother from him. Eventually, after being exposed to the complications of a soldier's life, Ethan forgives his mother's busy schedule and their relationship significantly improves.

Ethan has tan skin, dark chocolate brown hair, and the shape of his mother's face and mouth. Like his brothers, he bears a striking resemblance to his father.
