A B45 Maximum-Velocity Artillery Weapon is a long-range explosive projectile launcher. The weapon, first designed for use by the Systems Alliance, is a unique weapon in humanity's recent history as it does not use mass effect fields and FTL mechanics. Mass Effect physics were overlooked for the weapon because if it were a mass accelerator weapon, it would only be able to fire in straight lines; instead, the weapon fires at basic physics, launching all projectiles in an arching fashion and allowing it to bombard targets at a long-range and over obstacles. The weapon is usually mounted to M-080 IFVs and other large combat vehicles.
The weapon fires highly-explosive rounds, capable of leveling city blocks with a single shot. Recently, the krogan managed to "adopt" the designs of the weapon and began mounting them to Tomkahs for combat. The krogan also traded the explosive ammunition for highly-volatile radioactive shells.
